DANIELLE DUDLEY
(Certified Equine Dentist
III)

More than
twenty years of showing Arabians and being surrounded by a diversity of
domestic animals meant working with animals came natural. So it was no
surprise that Danielle Dudley left her Respiratory Therapist and
award-winning (human) Dental Assistant career in the U.S. and decided to take
Australian training to be able to make Equine Dentistry her new career. Since
Danielle has returned to Michigan USA, Benita Thomson and Peter Borgdorff work in
the Geelong Werribee area.

KURT
BOEGEL (Certified Equine
Dentist III)

Kurt grew
up on a farm in Macedon and developed an affinity with horses when he started
to ride at 6 years of age. As he used horses around stock,
hebecame interested in campdrafting but not to the exclusion of other
horse sports. Kurt is particularly fascinated by way the process of
communication with horses takes place. He also finds this a good skill in his
everyday work with them. Kurt worked as a carpenter after leaving school but
kept being drawn to horses.
Dentistry was a way in which Kurt thought he could be most valuable to their
health. He had observed that proper treatment was often overlooked by owners.
Now that he is qualified he is taking on the challenge of improving their
well-being and hopes to improve owner awareness. Kurt undertook training and
has commenced practice at the Queensland Gold Coast.
